Draw 8×8 bit text with Ultra Violet Leds

Introducing a Hacked S2 Parallax Propeller robotic turtle. Gareth over at Parallax forum built this UV LED drawing Parallax robot

This is not your traditional “Pencil on Paper” drawing turtle. This one uses 8 Ultra Violet Leds beaming in this case an the propeller ROM based characters are extracted and fired onto a Phosphorescent vinyl sheet. The programming routine uses some spin code found to generate the patterns.

The pen slot has been replaced  with a bar of downward pointing UltraViolet LEDs one placed central to the hole and the others fanning out. This arrangement means that the user can send the Propellers internal character-set (no costly data tables) to the UV array and plot to a Phosphorescent screen.
